Poland to Croatia Train
Train from Poland to Croatia is one of the ways of travelling between these two countries, but definitely not the most convenient one. Although travelling between Poland and Croatia is popular, trains are not the first option for travellers as there are no direct trains. However, travelling this distance by train is possible with several train changes. The railway service in Poland is operated by multiple companies, most of the routes are operated by PKP Intercity.

Warsaw – Zagreb
Train from Warsaw to Zagreb is not the most popular way of travelling between these two cities. However, there are no direct trains but it is possible to travel from Warsaw to Zagreb with several train changes.
There is up to 1 departure with only one train change in Vienna. The route is operated by InterCity Express (ICE) trains and EuroCity (EC) trains. The waiting time in Vienna between the trains is about 2 hours though, so the overall journey takes approximately 16 hours.
There are also several daily departures that require more than one train change. All trains run via Vienna and make additional stops in Graz and Celje or Sopron, Szombathely, Gyekenyes and Zidani Most. These routes are operated by the following types of trains:
- Railjet (RJ) train
- EuroCity (EC) train
- EuroNight (EN) train
- InterCity (IC) train
- InterCity Express (ICE) trains
- Regional trains
The waiting time between the trains can vary between a few minutes to 7 hours. Accordingly, the journey takes from around 14 to 22 hours.
NOTE: It is good to know that schedule changes throughout the year, so it is important to check the departure times for the exact travelling date.

Krakow – Dubrovnik
There is no train from Krakow to Dubrovnik. Getting from Krakow by train is possible only to Split (changing a train in Zagreb). The railway in Croatia stops in Split so there is no further train connection to Dubrovnik.
Although travelling this distance by train hardly makes sense, if you really want to travel from Krakow to Dubrovnik by using the train as much as possible, here is how to do it
- First, you will need to travel by train from Krakow to Zagreb. There are several daily departures but all of them require several train changes. The overall journey takes from about 13 to 21 hour, depending on the departure.
- You can continue from Zagreb to Split by train.
- As there is no further train connection, consider alternative options to get from Split to Dubrovnik.
An estimated total travelling time is no less than 23 hours, not including the waiting time in between. An estimated total price of all tickets is not under €110, depending on the train ticket which varies.
In order to avoid numerous changes and the waiting time in between, consider taking a bus from Krakow to Dubrovnik.
